Damien Genicot
I’ve been a journalist in Brussels since January 2019. I joined Contexte’s “Énergie” section in February 2023, after more than four years at Agence Europe, a media outlet focusing on European policy development.
I started my journalist career covering issues related to transport for several months before focusing on Energy and Climate. Besides my full-time work at Agence Europe, I have also occasionally collaborated with the European radio network, Euranet.
Driven by a lifelong passion for storytelling, I transitioned to journalism after earning a Master’s in Politics and European Communication from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Social Communication (IHECS by its acronym in French) in Brussels. I also have a Master’s in Management Science from Louvain School of Management (LSM) and a degree in Economics and Management from the Louvain Catholic University (UCL by its acronym in French)."
